“Because I like being a kid”
As I sit here reflecting on my recent interaction with my granddaughter (Rose Urban), I can't help but feel overwhelmed with emotion. It all started when I asked her what her favorite number was and she replied that 4 was her favorite, not because she was 4 years old, but because she ‘likes being a kid’. That was her exact answer… ‘because I like being a kid’. Her answer took me by surprise and immediately brought a smile to my face.
In this fast-paced world, it's easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of life and forget to slow down and enjoy the moments that matter most. But my granddaughter's innocent and heartfelt response to my question reminded me of the importance of cherishing every phase of life, instead of rushing through it. It's moments like these that make me realize just how quickly life moves, and how important it is to slow down and appreciate the little things.
Granddaughters have a way of softening even the toughest of hearts. Their innocence, joy, and excitement for life are contagious, and it's no wonder that they hold a special place in our hearts. My granddaughter has already left a lasting impression on me, and I know that she will continue to bring me joy and love for years to come.
As I sit here writing this, I can feel my heart overflowing with happiness and I can't help but tear up with joy. Granddaughters truly are a blessing, and I am so grateful to have her and our other granddaughter Presley Fann in our lives.
