#1 Mistake hiring managers make.

Thinking about the long list of mistakes hiring managers usually make.

Planning on doing a post with a full updated list of top 10 later this week or next, but thought I would share what I would rank #1 (especially in the first part of the process).

Here it is.

"Too much emphasis and too picky regarding resume and LinkedIn specifics."

I've seen hiring managers pass on awesome candidates I've talked to because of one sentence in the resume that that they didn't like.

"Silly" is the word that comes to mind. 🤣

At the age of 56 and hiring and interviewing people for over 30 years I can tell you that my best employees never had the perfect resumes.
