Years of Experience? Who Cares. Specific Knowledge or Certification? Who Cares.

*Job Description Requirements vs. Job Candidate in Our Brave New AI World*, does specific experience or skill really matter as much? I’m thinking, no.

With AI advancements, what really matters and what companies should be asking is: Do you have common sense, good judgment, people skills, compassion, work ethic, morals, values, etc. (and all the other critical soft skills)?

Why is this more important now?

Because all the experience- and skill-based questions can essentially be answered as follows:

Do you have xx years of experience?
✅I have access to ChatGPT and other large language models (LLMs) that can supply me with knowledge more in-depth than 99% of humans on the planet. I know how to use these tools and ask the right questions to get the information I need in seconds. So, my answer is, “yes.”

Do you have experience with [specific skill/task]?
✅I have access to ChatGPT and other LLMs that can provide me with expertise that surpasses what most people know, and I know how to use it effectively. So, my answer is, “yes.”

✅Do you know how to use [software, systems, or processes]?
I have access to ChatGPT and other LLMs that can instantly provide me with the necessary knowledge, so my answer is, “yes.”

Do you have the following certifications and degrees?
✅I have access to ChatGPT and other LLMs, which provide expertise that goes beyond most conventional education. So, my answer is, “yes.”

In an AI-driven world, having the right soft skills may matter more than ever.

Okay, so many this is an extreme example, but we're headed in this direction very, very quickly. Feel free to comment or disagree.
