Why Using ChatGPT Isn't CHEATING (most of the time): My fun take on AI Tools 😀

Ever heard someone say using ChatGPT for content is cheating? Same folks probably use these AI tools without a second thought:

✅Google Maps: Navigating without it? Pfft. What am I, a pirate with a compass? Go ahead, use your paper maps.
✅Spellcheck: Writing without it? No thanks, I like my words spelt correctli 😍.
✅Siri/Google Assistant/Alexa: Asking these for answers to questions is okay, but using ChatGPT for writing help is blasphemy?
✅Smartphones: Predictive text? Yes, please! But ChatGPT? Gasp!
✅Streaming Services: Recommendation algorithms? Love ‘em! But generating content? Unthinkable.
✅Email Filters: Spam detection saves my inbox, but writing assistance? Oh no!
✅Fitness Trackers: AI tracking my steps is fine, but helping with ideas? Nuh-uh.
✅Online Shopping: Personalized suggestions? Perfect! But AI writing? Hmmm.
✅Customer Service Bots: Great for quick answers! But AI content? Too much.
✅Voice-to-Text: Convenient for messages, but for writing? How dare we.
✅Okay to pay a Resume Writer to redo your resume, but not use ChatGPT for help? Huh???
✅Okay for you to dictate an email or letter you want sent to your Executive Assistant, but not use ChatGPT to do it...??? I'm confused.

I could list a hundred more examples of where AI is already in your life.

When calculators first came out, did we call math students cheaters? Now, you'd never do math without one. ChatGPT and other large language models are the calculators of today’s content creation.

I recommend getting on board with AI agents, or risk being left behind. Soon, we’ll all have a personalized "Agent" (we're almost there now) that helps us get things done all day long. It's coming soon. If there's a technological advancement that makes me faster, stronger, more efficient, and gives me a competitive edge over my competition, you better believe I'm going to use it.

True story – final note – I used to be in music retail. Back when you had to travel to a brick-and-mortar store to buy your records. I worked in the industry for 13 years. I still remember sitting in the audience at one of our annual conferences when the old man CEO gave a speech. He said downloading music on devices would never take off and that people would always want to go to the music store. He said that year we were going to focus on bringing "singles" back to the store. Remember single-track songs on records and cassettes? Yeah, he said that in 2002 at a conference. Meanwhile, my own teenagers at the time were already downloading all their music (mostly for free). I resigned a year later and got out before the ship sunk.

Don't be old-school and drown with the ship. 🤪
