There’s a lot of debate about whether AI and robotics taking over jobs will lead to a loss of PURPOSE for people.

I think that’s a bunch of BS.😃

In reality, most people don’t find their "purpose" in a job they’re doing just to put food on the table.

The truth is, a vast majority of people are working jobs they have to do, not because they love them or find deep purpose there.

When AI and robotics handle the tasks that drain our energy, I believe people will finally have time to discover true purpose elsewhere, spending more time with family, pursuing hobbies, exercising, traveling, volunteering.

People are resourceful and will find new, more fulfilling ways to live when the pressure of work is lifted.

The idea that work is the only way we find purpose is outdated.

What I think might be coming is a chance to redefine what really matters.

I mean, think about it. Were we really put here on earth to work 10 hours a day in a warehouse, spend two hours commuting in traffic, eat fast food on the way home, and spend about one good productive hour with family? I don’t think so.

Trust me, if someone told me I could pursue my hobbies and family time at my leisure, I’d ask where to sign. I’m in.

Now, how does this all affect the economics piece and how everyone has income if they’re not working? That’s for another post. This one is about "purpose."
